Our Museum Night
As you already know, the D-IVE organized a tour of museums in the old city with mobile photographers as part of the festival La Nit del Museus hosted by the Institut de Cultura in Barcelona. We began our journey at the Arxiu Fotogràfic with a masterclass that included the participation of Nicanor García, Jose Martos and Carol de Britos. From there we headed out to the Museu de Xocolata, the Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc, the Rei de la Magia, the Museu de la Moto, MUHBA Plaça del Rei, the Sala Ciutat, the MIBA (Museum of inventions and ideas), the Virreina and La Capella.

Lamono & Art Drops by Element Eden
A few days ago some D-IVERS got together at a party organized by lamono in an impressive first floor apartment in the Eixample. The event included an exhibition by winners of the “Art Drops” contest that was held to find an illustrator that would become Element Eden’s brand ambassador. The winner was Cheyenne and finalists included Daniela Carvalho and Jana Medina.

May 18th is International Museum Day and also the date of Barcelona’s popular cultural event, La Nit dels Museus (Museum Night). D-IVE is going to be taking part in the event this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Together with 15 mobile photographers, we’ll be taking a tour of different museums throughout the city to bring you our view of La nit. The hashtags for the event are the official hashtag of the evening #bcnesmuseu and also #diveuniverse.

It was an intense, enriching and fun weekend. We were inspired by conference from Mayka Navarro, Phil González and Severin Matusek; we learned to better control our mobiles thanks to workshops by SnapSeed, hipstamatic and Collage Creatiu, among others; we went deeper in our learning with the best of the best in the masterclasses; and we discovered new corners of the city while socializing during the photowalks.There are too many things to mention. More than 800 people from Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, France, Switzerland, Germany and Sweden showed up to hang out at the D-IVE, and we want to thank each and every one of them.
